Bytes & Bits is an independent provider of software and related services for banks, mortgage firms and savings institutions worldwide.

The company was formed on July 31, 1984, through the combination of two major software and hardware firms located in Moncton, N.B. and Halifax, N.S. These firms began their operations in 1980, as the data processing operations in their parent institutions. Historically, operations were expanded by developing a range of services for parent organizations and other financial institutions.
